Holiday's journey began in his own backyard. He would spend hours searching for signs of magic in the flowers, the trees, and even in the rocks on the ground. He believed that if he looked closely enough, he would be able to see the shimmering glow of magic.

The Magic of the Disney World Holiday Decorations

A good friend of mine lives a mere 15-minute drive from Walt Disney World Resort, and after I finished expressing my jealousy for the 100 th time, we got to talking about the Holidays and my next visit to the Resort. I won’t be in the place where dreams come true until the transition from Halloween to Christmas has taken place, and she and I got to talking about the magic of the holidays at the Disney Parks and, more specifically, how jaw-droppingly impressive it is that the Disney World Holiday decorations literally go up overnight, and here is how I know…

I was lucky enough to be at the very last Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of 2017. In my book, the Halloween party beats the Christmas party any day of the week (there is a Hocus Pocus castle show!) from the option to dress up in whatever costume your heart desires to filling your belly with delicious (unlimited!) candy from trick or treating and pretending its dinner, there really isn’t a question that Halloween at Magic Kingdom is magical. On midnight last Halloween, like my sugar high, the smoking, orange-lit clock tower on the train station disappeared into the distance as I drove away.

The very next day I decided to head back to Magic Kingdom before my flight home. Battling a candy hangover and still replaying the bone-chilling ride of the Headless Horseman in my head, I disembarked the ferry to find the train station all decked out in garland, the fall mum-packed gardens at the foot of the station had transformed into a poinsettia paradise, and the scarecrows that had lined Main Street USA just 8 hours prior had been replaced by tall and handsome toy soldiers…yes, Christmas and all the Disney World holiday decorations had arrived overnight!

Mr holiday seek the magic

But as much as Mr. Holiday searched, he didn't find the magic he was seeking in his backyard. So, he decided to venture further. He traveled to far-off lands, exploring ancient ruins and mystical forests in search of the elusive magic. In his travels, Mr. Holiday met many interesting people and encountered incredible sights, but still, he didn't find the magic he was looking for. Some people told him that he was looking in the wrong places, that magic could only be found within oneself. But Mr. Holiday was determined to find external magic, something that would bring enchantment and wonder to his life. Finally, after years of searching, Mr. Holiday arrived at a small village nestled deep in the mountains. The people in the village spoke of a secret cave that contained the most powerful magic in the world. Mr. Holiday's heart raced with excitement as he set off to find this cave. Upon reaching the cave, Mr. Holiday was greeted by an old man who explained that the magic he sought could only be accessed by those who believed in its existence. He told Mr. Holiday that true magic was not something to be seen with the eyes, but something to be felt with the heart. Overwhelmed with joy, Mr. Holiday realized that the journey to find magic was not about finding external enchantment, but about finding the magic within himself. He had spent so much time searching for something that had been inside him all along. From that moment on, Mr. Holiday stopped seeking external magic and started focusing on nurturing the magic within himself. He realized that true magic didn't come from grand adventures or extraordinary sights, but from finding joy and wonder in the simple moments of everyday life. With this newfound understanding, Mr. Holiday returned to his home, carrying the magic of his journey in his heart. He shared his story with others, spreading the message that true magic is not something to be found, but something to be created. And so, Mr. Holiday lived the rest of his life in a state of wonder and enchantment. He was able to see magic in the smallest of things - a smile, a kind word, a gentle breeze. He taught others to seek magic within themselves, and in doing so, he brought magic to the world. In conclusion, Mr. Holiday's journey to seek magic ended not in finding external enchantment, but in discovering that true magic comes from within. By focusing on the simple moments of everyday life and nurturing the magic within ourselves, we can experience a life filled with wonder and enchantment..
