Kipper the dog is a popular children's book character created by author Mick Inkpen. In the book "Kipper's Magic Act," Kipper decides to put on a magic show for his friends Tiger, Pig, and Arnold. He wants to show them his amazing tricks and make them laugh. To start the show, Kipper gathers his audience in his backyard and sets up a small stage. He wears a top hat and a cape to look the part of a magician. Kipper begins the show by pulling a rabbit out of his hat, which amazes his friends.

Fairchild’s NightGarden & discounts
During Miami winters, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden transforms itself into The NightGarden, an enchanted, illuminated experience full of fantasy and wonderment – where things like the Wise Talking Tree, Archimedes and Flying Fairies come to life.
This gorgeous magical garden is scheduled to open on Nov. 10, 2023, and run through January 7, 2024.

Feast your eyes on stunning special effects and immerse yourself in a world of fantasy, where you can chat with a “wise tree” and use a special “FairyScope” (NightGarden's augmented reality game) to search for fairies. While you're at it, make this a special night out on the town and enjoy some of Miami's most popular food trucks.
Admission prices vary depending on peak dates. Ticket prices begin at $25 for adults (anyone 11 and older) and $20 for children 3 to 10. During peak dates in December, prices are $35 for age 10 and younger and $40 for age guests age 10 and older. Children up to 2 years old enter free of charge.

The NightGarden is located at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 6-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Starting Dec. 18, the show is also open from 6 to 10 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is closed Thanksgiving Day but open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

NightGarden Miami: A Magical Light Experience
NightGarden is far more than just a light show. Unlike many holiday shows where sparkling lights are the center of attention, Miami’s own experience combines light and color with interactive technology. This unexpected combination brings Archimedes to life, a wise talking tree that answers any and all questions. Imposing Giant Dandelions also come alive during the experience, making their highly-anticipated return since the first NightGarden edition.
Rainbow-colored paths and technicolor flowers decorate the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden , planting easter eggs across the garden for family and friends to discover.
What’s really special about NightGarden is the multisensory nature of all of its activities, and the experience’s fairy quest takes the crown. Using the free FairyScope™ augmented reality app , you’ll head on a journey through the illuminated garden to find the Fairy Queen and her lost subjects. It’s a super fun activity for the whole family, where you’ll be testing your teamwork skills!
NightGarden Miami: A Magical Light Experience
NightGarden is now taking place every week through the holidays. The experience lasts around 60 to 90 minutes, with standard adult tickets starting at $30 and children of all ages welcome. Food trucks and drinks are also available on site, featuring some of Miami’s best.
He asks Tiger to step into a big box, and with a wave of his wand, Kipper makes Tiger vanish into thin air. The other friends are astounded and start clapping and cheering. Kipper pretends to be surprised by his own trick and acts as if he doesn't know how it happened. After making Tiger reappear, Kipper moves on to his next trick. He asks Pig to pick a card from a deck, and with a flick of his wrist, Kipper guesses the correct card. Pig is amazed and thinks Kipper must have some secret powers. Kipper simply smiles and moves on to his next trick. For his final act, Kipper asks Arnold to join him on stage. He places a large box over Arnold and taps it with his wand. When he removes the box, Arnold has turned into a bouquet of flowers. Kipper's friends burst into laughter and applause. They can't stop talking about how fantastic the show was and how talented Kipper is. In the end, Kipper thanks his friends for being such a great audience and tells them that they can always count on him for some magic and fun. He is proud of his magic act and glad that his friends enjoyed it. Kipper's Magic Act showcases the joy of imagination and the power of make-believe in the world of children's literature..

I found "Kipper the Dog: The Magic Act" to be quite dull and uninteresting. The storyline was lackluster and the magic tricks weren't impressive at all. It felt like a poorly executed attempt at creating entertainment for young children. The characters lacked depth and the humor was forced. Overall, I was disappointed with this magical mishap.

I didn't enjoy "Kipper the Dog: The Magic Act" as much as I hoped. The plot seemed disjointed and the pacing was off. The magic tricks were predictable and didn't have any wow factor. The animation and visuals were also below par. While it might entertain very young children, it fails to capture the attention or engage older kids or adults. I won't be recommending this one.
