1. Sarah - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "The Syrup Witch." The concept seemed intriguing, but the execution fell flat for me. The writing was choppy and the characters lacked depth. The plot also seemed to drag on without any clear direction. Overall, I don't think I would recommend this book to others.
2. Mark - 1/5 stars - Honestly, "The Syrup Witch" was a complete waste of time for me. The story felt incredibly slow-paced and nothing really happened until the last few chapters. The characters were uninteresting and I couldn't connect with any of them. The dialogue was also incredibly awkward and forced. I was hoping for a gripping and magical read, but unfortunately, this book just didn't deliver.
3. Emily - 2/5 stars - I was initially drawn to "The Syrup Witch" because of its unique concept, but I found the execution to be lacking. The story had potential, but it felt rushed and underdeveloped. The writing style was also a bit amateurish, with repetitive phrases and clichéd descriptions. I wanted to enjoy this book, but it just didn't live up to my expectations.
