Tickle Plenty and the Bubblegum Tree

PreS-Gr 2— Tickle Plenty lives in the chocolate chip cookie house in the rainbow forest where she is surrounded by magical objects and an eclectic group of animal friends. One day she discovers that the crows have stolen gum from the bubble gum tree because they have been told the tree caused the ice cream volcano to stop erupting. Tickle Plenty and her friends then set out to fix the ice cream volcano and prove the tree innocent, all while encountering plenty of problems to solve along the way. Luckily Tickle Plenty is a resourceful problem solver. Minkoff creates a world featuring everything a child could want in a magical forest: walking picnic baskets, sweets galore, and talking animals. Alison Larkin is a superb narrator, easily distinguishing among the many characters with different accents and distinct voices.

VERDICT A lovely listen for families. Reviewed by Elizabeth Elsbree, Krug Elementary School, Aurora, IL , May 01, 2019

Reviews for "The White Witch: A Classic Manga Character"

1. Sarah - 2 stars - I did not enjoy "The White Witch manga" at all. The storyline felt disjointed and the characters lacked depth. The artwork was also quite inconsistent, with some panels looking rushed and poorly executed. Additionally, I felt that the pacing was off, making it difficult for me to engage with the story. Overall, I found it to be a disappointing read and would not recommend it.
2. John - 1 star - "The White Witch manga" was a complete letdown for me. The plot was confusing and hard to follow, leaving me feeling detached from the story. The artwork, while visually appealing at times, did not make up for the lack of substance in the characters. I had high hopes for this manga but was ultimately left unsatisfied. It lacked the depth and cohesiveness that I look for in a good manga.
3. Emily - 2.5 stars - I had mixed feelings about "The White Witch manga". While the premise was intriguing and had potential, the execution fell short for me. The pacing was inconsistent, jumping from slow-burn moments to rushed action scenes without a smooth transition. The main character felt underdeveloped, and the dialogue often came across as forced. Overall, I found the manga to be mediocre and failed to fully capture my interest.
4. Mark - 1 star - I found "The White Witch manga" to be a complete bore. The story lacked originality and failed to grab my attention. The artwork was average at best, and the characters felt one-dimensional. I kept hoping for some sort of twist or exciting plot development, but it never came. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this manga if you're looking for something compelling and unique.
5. Jessica - 2.5 stars - Unfortunately, "The White Witch manga" did not live up to my expectations. The concept had potential, but the execution left much to be desired. The pacing felt off, with too much time spent on mundane details and not enough on developing the plot. The characters lacked depth and their motivations were unclear. While the artwork had its moments, it couldn't salvage the overall mediocrity of the manga. I was left disappointed and unsatisfied with the reading experience.
