The Spellbinding Storyline: A Closer Look at Asterigos

By admin

The Asterigos Curse of the Stars Switch is a supernatural phenomenon that has captured the imagination of many individuals. It is believed to be a curse involving the mysterious manipulation of cosmic forces. The origins of this curse are shrouded in mystery and speculation, adding to its allure and intrigue. According to legend, the curse is triggered when a person meddles with celestial objects or attempts to harness the power of the stars. This can occur through a misplacement or misuse of artifacts or through performing rituals that involve cosmic entities. The consequences of activating the curse are said to be dire and far-reaching.

This page will serve as a basic how to play guide for Curse of the Dead Gods. While there is very little information available at this time, we urge you to check back often, as new information is being added all the time! Feel free to edit this guide with any tips, tricks, and suggestions.

I also like to have a 25 chance to auto parry shield when I don t have any boost for specific secondary weapons or am not using a secondary as my main damage source, this will raise your odds by quite a bit. Right, I was kinda surprised to not read complaints about him as much as the eagle temple, I figured he just caught me off guard and I was just missing something very bad weapon choice.

Dodge the curse of the temple

The consequences of activating the curse are said to be dire and far-reaching. One of the most significant effects of the Asterigos Curse is the swapping of destinies or fates between individuals. This means that the lives of two different people become intertwined, with their predetermined paths exchanged.

Dodge the curse of the temple

His attacks are quite relentless, I can barely get my heavy weapon combos in and am out of stamina when his next tantrum starts. People claim Serpent & Jaguar temple are much easier than the Eagle one, so I'm sure I'll figure it out. However I'd like to hear your favorite weapons against him, and what are the attack windows you make use of? I'm not quite a fan of ranged combat, but I'd like some input here

The Abomination is a real piece of work.
It is nimble, its attacks are fast and deceptively delayed to catch you off guard. To make it worse, attacks become faster as it loses health. It seldom gives you a turn to attack.
When I seriously try to win, I avoid its room when possible.

Parrying the Abomination basically enables any kind of weapons.
However, it's easier said than done. I find most players relying on dodge, so they may be inexperienced at parries. Not to mention that the Abomination is much faster than most enemies, demanding even more from you.

If you are good at parrying, this boss quickly crumbles.
If not, it will outright kill you. There's no in-between in this fight.

If parrying isn't your thing, Throwing Weapons and Shields are your best bet against the Abomination.

First, the Abomination has a strafe maneuver which quickly puts a gap between short Primaries and itself. Maces, Swords and Claws have trouble catching it.
Heavy weapons do have the reach to cover such distance. But as you said, in this fight they leave you too exposed against its quick counters.

So Throwing Weapons have an advantage here. They are quick to execute, and also have the longest range of all primaries.

Second, the Abomination has a spin-attack that must be parried 3 times.
Provided a player isn't good at parrying, the spin-attack can easily cut them down.
You need something that can knock it back, so after you finish your combo you will be relatively safe from this potential pattern.

Shield's Off-Hand Combo is the best Secondary for knocking someone back.
It also pairs nicely with Throwing Weapons, since their knockback-power is nonexistent, and they lose range-advantage at point-black distance.
If the Abomination is close, use the Off-Hand Combo to gain a considerable distance and restart your Primary attacks to see it can be still interrupted for another combo.

I suggest taking Chromatic Knives and any Shield with guaranteed Crit on Off-Hand Combo. Boost your Dex as always. This was the loadout I used to win him without taking damage.

Finally, I recommend Gust of Agility for its Dex bonus and more importantly, the Perfect Dodge bonus. Increased movement speed allows you to escape from certain attacks that you couldn't normally escape, such as the 5-hit Claw combo from the Champion of Death.

Avoid? . how - by not picking the Serpent temple or am I missing something?

I usually play in Clovis's Trial and Xbeltz'aloc's Revelation, which introduces three stages from all three Temples. They also make the first two bosses in each stage optional. I made the mistake of assuming you were also playing on these Expeditions.

Thanks; I'll have a try with this combo or something similar.

So like what some other people have said, parries can make this fight much easier, but I get why people don't like to parry (the window is pretty small). I find that when I'm on, then I can trash this guy, but once I miss a few parries, I have to dodge for a while because I 'm off his rhythm,

I tend to stay in his face. It's important to learn the difference between the one swipe (two claws pulled back) and two swipe combo (one claw followed by another claw swipe). After these two attacks, I normally do damage with my light weapon. Also, his poison blast is good place to charge a claw crit attack or ready a heavy weapon swing. Just be ready to roll if he starts his swing right after. A heavy attack will not stop his attack.

If you're looking to use heavy weapons, then the best place is after parries. Or if you're quick before he speeds up, you can get them in after his claw swipes. But once his goes under 50%, I don't use heavy weapon unless I've broken his guard with a parry.

The only problem with my strategy is that I normally get caught his big spin attack, but I will take that damage. If my parries are on, then he normally only has time to spin once or twice.

I very rarely do parry but for this one it's crucial. I only even try to dodge sometimes when I have a weapon that barely needs stamina but otherwise I just stand with him face to face and hit him relentlessly and try to parry as much as I can, the first tries you might get killed or at least take tons of damage but you will definitely get a hang of the timings and it will not be much of an issue, especially when you have a lot of damage + the weaken he gets from the parries make him die rather quick, he is not exactly the tankiest of champions.
I also like to have a 25% chance to auto parry shield when I don't have any boost for specific secondary weapons or am not using a secondary as my main damage source, this will raise your odds by quite a bit.

One swipe dodge to his side/towards one full combo walk away.
Two swipes dodge to towards/ to the side one full combo walk away.
Whirlwind dodge towards the opposite direction hes going. If you have a dash attack like knife or claw dash for a combo or charge a heavy back off.
Regardless of his hp if you can dodge his combos you can get a full combo even with a heavy. As they have a window stun that can be extended by one combo length.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll have to invest some time in learning to parry - indeed something I haven't done since I started playing again, with the relase of v1.0

I'll see if I can pull this off or rather just drop my heavy weapon build and go for the parries etc.

Thanks for the input so far, everyone. Already lots of useful info

So, I am not a parry player at all--rarely do so--and I can beat this boss pretty consistently at this point while taking little damage. Tips for this boss:

1. Do NOT use heavy weapons. You need to match his speed.
2. If he poisons himself (you'll see the circle around him), your goal is to avoid him and dodge his attacks. He attacks too quickly for you to get any hits in without taking damage. Wait until the poison wears off of him and then go back to dodge/counter.
3. Memorizing his tells is everything. If he leans back and one arm shines, he's going to do a single thrust holding still. Dodge INTO him, and then counter attack with some good hits. Don't go too aggressive or he's going to get you when you're out of stamina. He's too fast to reliably deplete your stamina at any point. The spinning attack I usually eat. I try to keep some distance, but I'm rarely far enough away to avoid getting hit by that attack at least a little. If you see a line coming from him, it's a ranged attack--just dodge into him and counter with melee. The only other move that's a threat is when he raises one arm in the air. He'll cleave in front once, then twice. You have to dodge both, then go in for the counter. As two dodges eats up two stamina points, you might just have to hold off and regain your stamina after this attack.
4. Aside from that, the goal is setup. Try to keep corruption down, find one healing source (going through doors, 1% max health gain on enemy kill, etc.) Perception is meh unless you have a weapon that scales, try to focus Dex. Don't purchase weapons, upgrade the ones you start with unless you have a really bad roll going in. Don't go overboard on gold unless you have relics that provide damage per 1k gold. Light is important, but you may find yourself eating hits if you frantically try to light torches that go out--defeating the purpose of lighting torches. Once you beat this guy, you're likely going to have trouble on the tier 3 boss, and for that I recommend Titan Slayer. That's my go-to for most of the slow, lumbering bosses.

Hope this helps.
