Egyptian occultism refers to the esoteric practices and beliefs that have roots in ancient Egyptian civilization. It is a system of knowledge and wisdom that has been passed down through the ages, often in secret, from one generation to the next. Ancient Egypt was a hotbed of mystical and spiritual activity, with the priests and priestesses of the time being well-versed in the occult arts. They believed in the existence of unseen forces and energies that could be harnessed and manipulated for various purposes. One of the key components of Egyptian occultism is the belief in the existence of an unseen reality, often referred to as the "Neter" or divine consciousness. This divine consciousness is said to be the source of all creation and the driving force behind the universe.
It's not often I think this (least of all say it), but Curse of the Headless Horseman is quite possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen. It tells the tale of Mark, a hippie medical student who inherits his uncle's Wild West themed ranch theme park under the stipulation he can keep it if he turns a profit within the first six months. However, the ranch is a dilapidated run-down mess so Mark decides to move in along with his hippie pals and set about drawing in some custom. Once there the group of hippie stoners are 'haunted' by a headless horseman who rides around the ranch splashing blood at people from his severed head collection. This may…
Towards the end of the film, Mark suddenly decides that they should get married immediately and they are married by the local Justice of the Peace in the church at the western theme park. This results in two deaths one girl runs in front of a van while trying to flee from him, and another who is high on LSD seems to just drop dead after being splashed with blood it s possible that she suffered a drug induced heart attack but, like almost everything else in this movie, it is never made explicit.
This divine consciousness is said to be the source of all creation and the driving force behind the universe. The goal of Egyptian occultists is to tap into this divine consciousness and align themselves with its power. Another important aspect of Egyptian occultism is the use of symbols and rituals.
CURSE OF THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN (1972) - DVD
A bunch of burn-out young people end up turning an old ranch that one of them inherited into a Woodstock-scene. A headless horseman haunts the ranch and is looking for heads. So low-budet it'll make you cringe. It's now being added the the triatholon of horror: BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS, THE CREEPING TERROR and MANOS - HAND OF FATE. It can ride side-by-side with this level of cinema. You need to be pretty brave to tackle this. Truly, exquisitely bad.

Rituals, on the other hand, are a way to align oneself with these energies and communicate with the divine. Egyptian occultism also places a great emphasis on the study and interpretation of dreams and visions. It is believed that dreams and visions can provide valuable insights and guidance on one's spiritual journey. Egyptian occultists often keep dream journals and practice lucid dreaming to better understand these messages from the subconscious. While Egyptian occultism has its roots in ancient Egypt, it is still practiced today by a dedicated group of individuals. These modern practitioners continue to study the ancient texts and rituals, adapting them to suit their contemporary needs and understanding. They seek to uncover the ancient wisdom and connect with the hidden spiritual forces that have guided humanity for centuries. In conclusion, Egyptian occultism is a system of esoteric knowledge and spiritual practices that have their origins in ancient Egypt. It involves the belief in a divine consciousness, the use of symbols and rituals, and the interpretation of dreams and visions. It continues to be practiced by modern occultists who seek to connect with the ancient wisdom and hidden energies of Egypt..
Reviews for "Awakening the Egyptian Mysteries within: A Guide to Egyptian Occultism"
1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Destination Egyptian Occultism". The book promised to delve into the mysteries of Egyptian occult practices, but it fell short on delivering any substantial information. The author seemed more focused on sharing their personal experiences and beliefs rather than providing factual and historical knowledge. The writing style was also quite convoluted and difficult to follow. Overall, I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a serious exploration of Egyptian occultism.
2. John - 1 star - "Destination Egyptian Occultism" was a complete waste of time and money. The author lacked any credibility and didn't seem to have a solid foundation in Egyptian history or occult practices. The book was filled with unsubstantiated claims and wildly speculative theories. It was more of a collection of unverified anecdotes rather than a well-researched study. I regret purchasing this book and would advise others to steer clear of it.
3. Emily - 2 stars - As someone with a genuine interest in Egyptian occultism, I found "Destination Egyptian Occultism" to be a disappointment. The author seemed more interested in sensationalizing their experiences rather than providing any authentic information. The lack of references and sources made it difficult to trust the veracity of the claims made. Additionally, the book lacked any depth or substantial analysis, leaving me wanting more. I would recommend looking for more reputable sources on Egyptian occultism rather than wasting time on this book.
4. David - 1 star - I cannot express how disappointed I was with "Destination Egyptian Occultism". The author's writing style was extremely repetitive and lacked coherence. It felt like a jumbled collection of random thoughts rather than a well-structured book. The content was shallow and failed to provide any meaningful insights into Egyptian occultism. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for an intellectual exploration of the topic.
