From my own experience as a witch who grew up in the Deep South without much of a community, who really learned from Books, I knew the things that I wanted to include; things I wish I knew! Also, thanks to my column for Nylon, I have a steady stream of people asking me questions about the craft. 1. Emily - ★☆☆☆☆ - I was really disappointed with the Melissa and dog magic kit. The instructions were unclear and confusing, and the tricks didn't even work properly. The props included in the kit were flimsy and cheaply made, and some were even missing from the package. Overall, it was a waste of money and I would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Jason - ★★☆☆☆ - This magic kit was not what I expected at all. The tricks were too basic and the gimmicks were easily noticeable by anyone with a little bit of observation skills. The set also lacked variety, with only a few tricks that were not very impressive or entertaining. The quality of the props and materials was mediocre, and I ended up losing interest in the kit after just a few attempts.

The tricks were too simplistic and almost insulting to the intelligence of dogs. My dog showed no interest in the tricks and it was clear that the magic kit was not engaging enough for him. Additionally, the props were not durable and easily torn apart by my dog. I was expecting a much better experience for the price.
